We know that finding a church can be challenging. From services to education to outreach, First Presbyterian wants you to know who we are so you can join us just as you are.
Worship Worship begins at 10:45 AM. Ushers will greet you at the door of the sanctuary, on the corner of Park Avenue and Adams Street. See the Worship tab to learn more.
Sunday School Come to the front door of the Education Building, 110 North Adams Street. There are classes for children of all ages and for adults. Sunday School starts at 9:15 AM.
Parking If you come by car, please feel free to park in the small lot near our Education Building at 110 North Adams Street. You may also park on the street (the parking meters are free on weekends) or for free in the lot at the Aloft Hotel on East Call Street.
Parking for the Mobility Impaired Several meters on Adams Street in front of the sanctuary are marked "Handicapped Parking Sundays Only." These are informal designations. You do not need an official handicapped tag to park in these spaces. Official spaces for the handicapped are on Park Avenue. Follow the signs to the elevator on the west end of the sanctuary.
Does sexual orientation matter? Not to God, and not to us. As a Covenant Network congregation, we welcome, in the name of Christ, all whom God calls into community and leadership in God’s church, regardless of sexual orientation.
Children Welcome Children of all ages are welcome in worship. Learning in Worship materials are available in the narthex (vestibule) for use by children. We suggest children sit with their parents downstairs toward the front of the sanctuary in order to get the best view of what happens in worship. Children are invited to take part in all aspects of the service.
Childcare for Young Children For those who choose it, childcare is provided for infants, toddlers, and children who have not yet entered Kindergarten in the Education Building. Our sitters are professionally trained and certified. For security, the Education Building is locked once the worship service starts. If the doors to the Education Building are locked when you arrive, please see an usher at the entrance to the sanctuary, who will be happy to assist you.
Wondering what to wear? There is no dress code. Whether you are dressed formally or informally, God welcomes you, and so do we. |
